About this piece
This is a 2017 Ulysse Nardin Marine Chronometer, reference 1183-126/40 — a striking 43mm stainless steel piece built around the brand's in-house UN-118 automatic movement, COSC-certified as a chronometer. The white lacquered dial is set with applied blued-steel Roman numerals and blued skeleton hands, paired with a small seconds subdial, a power reserve indicator marked "BAS/HAUT," and a magnified date window — all finished under a coin-edged fixed bezel that echoes the brand's maritime heritage dating back to 1846. It's fitted to its original black leather strap with a polished steel anchor-engraved, push-button deployant clasp, and the exhibition caseback shows off the movement's 50-jewel construction and approximately 60-hour power reserve. The manufacturer's MSRP on this reference was $10,800. This example is rarely worn and in excellent condition, and it is a preowned watch. It includes all original papers and boxes as a complete set.
—
"A chronometer in the truest sense — engineered to Ulysse Nardin's own exacting in-house standard, and rarely worn since 2017. This is about as close to new as a preowned Marine Chronometer gets."
